Moon Shadows

Today was rough

I was stressed

Overwhelmed

Anxious

Waves of self-doubt washed in

A bit of sadness crept up

Frustrated by a phone that kept ringing

Disappointed by the numbers not calling

Emails not answered

Projects not complete

Deadlines looming

My house under construction

My home void of peace

It was too much

Then

They showed up

Friends

And we played

In the snow

Under the moon

So bright there were shadows

Moon shadows

And it turns out

Today was pretty darn great.
